Well the "real" world is right around the corner. Infact I am only 3 and a half months away from joining it! AHH!!! Ha! Graduation is near I am only a few days away from starting my last semester and all I can think in my head is where did the time go?
I have been planning for my future after graduation since I have gotten back from Honduras and the last post I wrote. I have prayed about it and thought about it and prayed some more about it. Don't get me wrong I would love to go back to Honduras long term or even for 6 months after I graduate until my fiance comes home. The possibility of this is not likely.
I did not grow up in a family that is extremely wealthy. All of the mission trips I have ever been on-- all of the support goes to my network of supporters that continually walk beside me and support me in all that I do. I have not lost my dream and passion for missions. If I didn't owe money on loans I would be back in a heart beat.
However, at this point in my life and for the next year or two I will be working to pay off those loans... inorder to enter the mission field debt free. I do not want my debt looming over my head and the heads of my supporters. I just got a new job that has a LOT of potential not only to help toward that goal but also potential for the mission field. God put that job right in front of me and I got it so I know it is straight from him.
I of course will be trying my hardest to get back over there for some short term work and will be keeping you all posted on that... but until then I am pursing my lifetime goal one short term goal at a time and that is currently working to pay off loans.
